There’s Always A Dance To Be Danced

I wanted to share a dance with you all…a dance of life and living (Be sure to click on the link at the end of this post to watch a very inspiring video).

On this Sunday, as I post this, I’m connected to my gratitude for the many blessings that have woven their way into my life, even in the midst of some of the most challenging times I’ve ever endured.  I imagine this to be true for all of us.  Let this short video re-connect you with the inner dance that your Spirit is always doing with this trippy reality we call life.

Let this video remind you of the joy that people create even in the midst of living in a terrorized and impoverished country…and inspire you to do this in your own way with consciousness, choice, and joy.

To Fear or Not To Fear Isn’t the Question

There’s no shortage of things going on in the world, and in our lives, that offer daily reasons to not feel good, not feel safe, or not feel well, inside and/or out. There are plenty of reasons our minds can come up with for why we should feel better about life and why we don’t, even when things are going great.

If you notice, we tend to go in cycles of feeling like our well-being is where we want it to be; at least, I know that to be true for me. I recently saw a great schematic for how that cycle goes, written by Michael Brown in his book, “The Presence Process,” that I want to share here. Here’s how it goes (and see if you recognize yourself and your patterns anywhere in here):

We ask for change.

We are given the opportunity to change.

We embrace the opportunity.

We start feeling different.

The mind tells us that this feeling is “wrong.”

We become afraid.

We turn against that which is changing our experience.

We return to what is familiar and safe.

Nothing is accomplished.

We feel more frustrated and disillusioned than before.

The mind has grown stronger, and we [our true essence and presence] have become weaker.

Again, for me, this has been an all-too-familiar cycle that I’ve gone through over the last 35 years, and it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s the inevitable outcome of using our minds, in my opinion, to gauge the true quality of our life and our experiences. Using the body and heart, in a healthier balance with the mind, eliminates this cycle.

I’ve learned ways to do that, which I will be sharing on a Free Teleseminar called “Getting Beyond Fear- Being Awake, Being On-Fire, & On-Purpose,” which will be on March 23th at 2 pm EST and 11 am PST.
